Teigen said that until a few months ago, when she and Legend were debating the reversal of Roe v. Wade, she had never thought of the “pregnancy loss” as an abortion.
She explained that as she was expressing sympathy for women who had abortions, he reminded her that she was one of “them,” and she “went quiet, feeling uncomfortable that I hadn’t made sense of it that way.”
Teigen discussed her hope with her current pregnancy on Wednesday in spite of her previous loss.
She said that “it still aches,” but she also said, “I think that miracles are simply always happening, and there are so many ways to make them happen.”
She said how having a baby might appear to be a breeze on social media: “To tell people the other side of the story has always been essential to me. And it’s just very lovely to have people come up to you and tell you how much they appreciate it and how you’ve given them hope.”
